Summary

A gaunt man, 52 years of age, 6'2" tall, 165 lbs, with thin grey hair, parted to the side. Eloquent speaker, expert in law, history, trade relations and national security. A dour, cynical realist in outlook, but one rarely sees that clearly when he is under Nook's control.

History

The Kingdom of Al'an was a beautiful nation of white castles overlooking pristine tropical beaches. Many generations ago its rival ruling families gave up warfare against each other and replaced it with a rivalry in the arts and culture. Al'anian princes have sponsored artists from all corners of Lith, and the kingdom's palace museums are among the best in the world. The kingdom also had a large underclass, which suffered economically from supporting the aristocracy's lavishness, but was relatively well treated otherwise. Having both unique resources and a wholly undemocratic political system, as well as having a reputation as a bunch of insufferable snobs, Al'an was of course one of the first targets for Pemen 'liberation'

Neil Weezling, mid level aristocrat and accomplished lawyer, was dispatched to the Rat Lands in a desperate bid for aid against invasion. The Rats, while concerned at this new Pemen expansion, weren't ready to risk all out war over it, so no help was given. Al'an fell, and the Rats figured that now that Mr. Weezling had no country to return to, he might as well become one of their slaves.

Equipment

Revolver - Custom made long barreled six shooter handgun.

Rapier - The A'lanian swordsmith who crafted was of mediocre reputation, given that he did not make wares in the exquisitely artful styles that were fashionable on the island. However he was well known among practiced swordsmen as the best smith to go to if you were buying a weapon and not a fashion accessory. Neil was once an excellent fencer, but he is out of prectice and not in the best physical shape.
