• Background: George Whaley's reputation as a seaman is known in most Shanter circles. Though his age is over 70 years his body still has the looks and strength of a middle-aged human due to the gene therapy of his forebears.

Summary

George Whaley is a veteran seaman of some 40 years. His early career was severely hampered by his youthful looks and was possibly responsible for his offstandish attitude towards others and severely elevated ego. His many years at sea have made him an expert seaman skilled at navigation, repairs, drinking, armed combat and naval engagement.

Equipment

• The Seasoned Turkey - George Whaley's pride and joy. An old style iron-clad frigate with a lot of oomf beneath the deck and firepower to boot.

• Old Jessy - A hand held gauss rifle that launches high density projectiles at high velocity. Though it's muzzle velocity provides enough force to punch through 6 feet of concrete this particular model was a prototype so the projectile loses power quite quickly at range and is only mildly accurate. There is a dial which can vary the muzzle velocity in order to control power consumption. A single battery can launch 3 full power shots before being depleted.

• Cutlass - Durasteel Melee Weapon

• KA Brand Communicator - A small brooch sized communicator badge with a 1km range. Works more or less like a walkie talkie. This has been issued to all of the Shanter diplomatic party
