Superstructure Information

Beast Mode

White rabbit. Though transmetal, still is covered in very soft fur. The fur just happens to be metallic. A few parts have smooth metal though, mainly the ears and parts of the front legs and belly. During one of her upgrade cycles she had some sabretooth cat DNA spliced in, giving her retractable claws and sabre teeth, all transmetal.

Robot Mode

Picture of Cyan Cyan is Alice of the Lightspawn, all grown up. She is thin and lithe, a bit exagerratedly so. Body design is generally rounded, except for the razor sharp frills on her shoulders. Beast mode claws and teeth are all retracted and/or not in particularly useful places.

Third mode

Twin jet engines rise out of her beast mode back, similar in design to the jetpack on TM2 Cheetor. Enables very fast ground travel (up to 300 mph on a straighaway) and very long and high jumps (30 feet up from a standstill).

Weapons/Equipment/Special Features

  • Submachine Gun - Rapid bullet firing, high gauge, accurate up to 200m. Used for short to medium range conflicts, particularly when she and/or the target is highly mobile.
  • Plasma Rifle - Accurate, high powered rifle. Can be dialed between low-temp/hi-velocity and low-velocity/hi-temp to deal with different ranges and target types. Though semi-automatic, shots are extremely quick, there is no reload, and it will fire basically as fast as one can pull the trigger, which in Cyan's case is extremely fast. Very accurate, has scope addon. Used for longer range, higher damage, and when she has a second to take good aim (note Cyan has preternaturally good aim even without taking a second). Can dual wield both guns, though the rifle is a little awkward in one hand.

Explosive Grenades - Regular old explosive grenades, usually has about ten or so. If she has time, she likes to paint them with easter egg colors.

Subspace Grenades - Upon exploding release unstable subspace pockets that tear apart all matter they encounter, and disrupt energy fields temporarily. 10ft blast radius. Carries four at a time. Note: all weapons carried in subspace.

Jets - 3rd mode dual jets become lower legs in robot mode, propelling her feet to faster speeds and giving her a 20ft vertical leap. Incapable of sustained flight.

Communications Array - Standard equiptment on all Lightspawn is an enhanced onboard communications array. in the right hands it can communicate via subspace across the galaxy in perfect secrecy, pick up weak Terran college radio stations from Alpha Centauri, send messages to parallel universes, and even, with the right add on devices, transport one to said parallel universes. Cyan has the user-friendly version, with lots of presets and automated routines. She has a decent understanding of how it works, and knows some hacks, but she is far from qualified to exploit the most advanced of its features.

Universal Remote - small, yellow remote control with an average number of orange buttons. Can exert full control over any television, stereo, media player, or similar remote controlled entertainment device.

Personality

Cyan is a nice girl, sweet and innocent looking with a goofy sense of humor. She likes to watch television, read books, goof off, and maybe pull the occaisional practical joke. Once in a while she'll stop for a moment to kill some random passerby that was intent on destroying the universe as we know it.

She is cute, charming, at times off in her world, at others very much engaged. She can be utterly persuasive. Cajoling, threats, logic, lies, bribes and flirting are all in her arsenal. She uses these tools to get past obstacles and also to lead when necessary. She seems to have a sixth sense about finding just the right thing to say to get even the most unruly subordinate (or superior) to do what she wants. Sometimes it's a simple direct order. Often it is not.

Cyan is an official registered warrior in the Forces of Good, however she is not a very good person. She will lie, cheat, steal and kill to accomplish her mission if necessary without qualms. Means versus ends, you see. She is considerably more successful than most bots who utilize this distinction at keeping the two seperate. She has a very strong conscience, it seems, but it's too busy worrying about how to save the universe to be bothered with small trifling killing sprees. Or rather, Cyan sees killing sprees as a natural part of existence, not necessarily right nor wrong. What she is fighting for is the right of existence of anything, period, or at least anything not under the thumb of a single malevolent overlord. Cyan finds attempts to conflate the epic struggle of Good versus Evil with Christian style morals to be naive and exasperating.

Cyan values politeness, can be flirtatious but doesn't let that get out of hand, and generally is a good Maximal, except her morals are decidedly un-Maximal. Violence and killing, as a means to an end, are perfectly fine with her, and all part of the natural order of things. She won't go on a killing spree for fun, but if there's a good reason why she needs to go on a killing spree, she'll certainly have a good time doing it. Though she tends to spend her free time on solitary activities, she is approachable and easy going, willing to have a good conversation about anything, except her past. If she met one of her own siblings, she wouldn't let on that she was related to them unless she had no choice, and she will likely never reveal how she knows certain bots like Pyre (see also: Funeral Pyre). She does, however, sometimes let on that she's been to 'the' future, mostly when warning someone that its a bad idea to do something. However, Cyan does mean well, and is only intending on helping the CA team. She's one of the most competent soldiers and spies one could have around, even though she never appears to be taking her job seriously. As the situation turns more dire, she has become more willing to share details about what she knows and how she knows it.

History

Cyan's history is convoluted, complicated, and has a twenty year gap where not even her creator is sure what she was up to. Just a disclaimer to start out with.

She was brought online as Alice, thirteenth child of Lightspeed and Prism, member of a familial mercenary clan known as the Lightspawn. Her parents, being former Predacon Secret Police and Predacon military, as well as former leaders of Unicron's Mercs, were quite qualified and motivated to train their progeny to become a mercenary squad along the same lines. In Alice's case, the training was not necessary, though.

Alice was actually the result of an elaborate MSP plot to plant a mole in the Lightspawn. They sacrificed a near-washout agent, implanted her diminished spark into the Predacon Base RPG universe's Jungle, and steered him towards Lightspeed, who had been victim of a similar experiment and knew that procreation was the only cure for the terminal complications it caused. Told you it was elaborate. The almost-complete story of the events leading up to Alice's creation is told in Conception of Innocence.

In any case, Alice never turned out to be a mole. The MSP might have thought that between the implanted agent and Jungle's paternal contribution to her spark she would have loyalty to them. Bad assumption on their part. The true loyalty of either source spark was questionable in the first place-- both Jungle and the washout were mostly loyal by lack of perceived choice. Lightspeed presumably got some big concessions out of Jungle in exchange for her part in the affair, and perhaps not coincidentally the Lightspawn have been two steps ahead of the MSP ever since. In addition, the family gained a highly skilled new child. Prism, by the way, was under the impression Alice was his biological daughter. He had his suspicions, in fact would have to have been a fool not to put two and two together (and a fool he is not), but he never asked any questions or treated Alice any different.. well, any more different than her odd behavior warranted anyway.

Dark Matter

The Lightspawn family was briefly transported to CA3 via a time shard, during which time a transporter mishap jolted Alice some 300 years into the future of that universe, to the events of the RPG Dark Matter. Though protected as a child by several successive members of the crew there, she more than held her own in battle situations. Interacted closely with:

  • Scalene - Somewhat brief motherly interest from her, but Alice did get a couple cool living bullets out of it.
  • Sphinx - One of those weird who met who first time travel deals. Sphinx came from the very same origin universe as Cyan, but was propelled to the time of the Beast at a different time by different means, and post-FNOTI to boot. Alice knew, or mostly rather knew of Sphinx through her parents. Sphinx had met Alice's older self, Cyan, shortly before being sent off by Faust to fight The Beast. Aaanyway, Alice tried unsucessfully to mediate some troubles between Sphinx and Relic, and also to break Sphinx out of the jail she'd turned herself into, but for all her skill she was still a child, and unable to understand the emotional breakdown Sphinx was going through. Not the the adults understood it much better.
  • Echo - Older, emotionally broken, alternate universe duplicate of her mother, Lightspeed. Alice tried to coax Echo into being the mother she knew, with some limited success.
  • Pyre - Leader of the crew. Not much specific interaction between the two during this RPG, but they did stay in intermittant contact. Ashen, who is Pyre plus many more eons of age, enlisted Cyan to fight the Endless and heal the FNOTI.

Following the return of the Outbound's crew to something near the present day, Alice was returned to her home universe and reunited with her family. She did stay in contact with Outbound survivors, however-- particularly their captain, Pyre, and a few times found her way back to the Cybertronian Alpha universe to help in some operation to contain the remants/precursors of The Beast. This independant crusade of hers, along with other factors, led to a falling out between Alice and the Lightspawn, particularly her mother, in Alice's late adolescence.

A gap of several years in Alice's history arises here. She apparently assumed some manner of Time Cop function, and at some point changed her name to Cyan in order to throw off any dimension hopping enemies who might try to wipe her from existence if they knew her origins.

CA3 to Pred Base and Back again

Following a vague, confusing, but compelling plea received from Ashen, Cyan appeared on Cybertronian Alpha Station, in the guise of a low ranking Maximal Military officer sent to aid the Colony Rycis team. The Axis of Time had been destroyed, starting off the FNOTI situation, and it was suspected that the Endless were not as defeated as it seemed. After a wild goose chase off to some nebula, Cage taking over the station in the interim, and some team turnover, Cyan was left leading a small band of rebels, with no clear idea how she was supposed to accomplish her mission other than putting out whatever fires came up, and following the directions of occaisional follow-the-bouncing-ball messages from Ashen.

One of said messages, plus the energy discharge from Backlash's spectacular demise (his most recent one, no, hm, maybe second most recent?) led Cyan and Jungle to go through a time shard to her home universe in the time and place of Unicron's Mercs. She joined them and tried to recruit them for her mission, but her method of persuasion consisted mostly of shooting at Prism, antagonizing Lightspeed and drinking sleeping powder tea with Sphinx. Important note, she's now back in time several decades before she was born, and just before Sphinx got sent to Dark Matter. Told you her history is convoluted. Anyway she got caught, interrogated, and examined, and was maybe on the way to convincing the Mercs to help her, but then a bunch of distractions happened. Then, the threads of spacetime, or something, recalled her back to the vicinity of CA3, taking the Storm's Eye II with her. And at about the same time Sphinx was sent to Dark Matter from a dreamscape while she was unconcious, and came back about a second later.

Considering all of this, Cyan is amazingly well adjusted.
