PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION

Beast Mode

Cryptic’s beast mode is that of a rather large black wolf. Over the years Cryptic has grown rather comfortable in this alternate skin, and one would have a rather hard time picking him out from natural wolves. This has also allowed him to take further advantage of its benefits including his enhanced sense as well as a natural hunting instinct. He uses this form often when shadowing a target as it has a greater capacity for stealth. (Picture below) [1]

Robot Mode

Cryptic has the kind of broad shouldered strong jawed look one may associate with a classic detective. No markings of identification exist on him as to keep him from getting traced to any source. He is of average looks for his species. He would appeal to those who like them tall, dark, and handsome. His face has taken on many feature of his beast mode. Much like Tigatron’s face did in Beast Wars. His features are more angular and his lower face comes out just slightly to give a more muzzle like appearance. His teeth are rather sharp in the front and his canines are longer like a wolf’s. His eyes glow a dull green and seem to peer into ones very spark. The rest of the head at his brow and just beyond his jaw line is raised out a bit. Along the sides are two pieces which rise out and upwards to a point that gives an earlike style. There is also a raised band which runs over the middle top of his head and down to its base.

Cryptic has a medium build and looks like he could easily take care of himself in a fight. The parts of his body not covered by fur all have a dark grey tone. His torso has a rather simple, yet well defined human like appearance. None of his beast mode can be seen on his torso outside of the two halves of its head that hang form his shoulder blades. The pieces of the head rest with their eyes facing behind him. His arms also have a rather simple human like appearance. The one major note is his shoulders which are incased inside rather simple box shaped armor that are open on the outward side and bottom. His thighs are in cased on either side by the pieces of his wolfs upper legs. The lower leg has been straitened out and spun around. Like the upper portion it has split down the middle to reveal a bulkier leg. The paws make up his heels, and the front of the foot is looks rather bland.

Bio

Cryptic was at one time a rather optimistic bright eyed beat cop on the streets of Cybertron. Everything seemed fresh and exciting to him in those early cycles. Oh how time can change a man. As his skills as an inspector began to show themselves he was quickly chosen to become a detective working homicide cases. This new job showed him some of the worst the planet had to offer breaking his spirit, and leading him into depression. As the stellar cycles passed he grew more depressed. He even began to unintentionally sabotage his life by drinking heavily and pushing away those close to him.

Then the Maximal Secret Police entered his life. They where impressed with his skills, and wished for him to use his talents to aid their organization. His new job focused mostly on investigation and surveillance of targets and possible threats. He also holds a position as an advisor for the regular police that often comes in handy when the MSP need coordinate efforts, or information with them. When it comes to missions he is usually kept as back up incase of any problems.

These days Cryptic has taken on a much more laid back and cynical type of personality. He has also pulled himself out of depression. After all his life might not be perfect, but it could be worse. He prefers to spend his free time in some of the seeder bars that the city can offer. Bars where the drinks are strong and the women are easy. When it comes to his job; however, he is a strait to the point kind of guy.

WEAPONS & SPECIAL ABILITIES

• (Semi-auto Handgun) - (Modeled after the SIG P226. It has enough firepower to piece heavy armor, and can be fitted with a silencer. The gun is solid black in color.)

• (Combat Knife) - (Modeled after the M9 Bayonet. It is sharp enough to penetrate most armor. Cryptic often wields this in a reversed grip manner with his left hand.)

Equipment

Investigation Tools, communicators, and a large variety of well falsified information useful to a man of his profession.

Traits

• Enhanced senses: A benefit of his beast mode. Cryptic’s senses are easily on par with, if not greater then, those of a wolf in both his modes. Includes enhanced night vision.

• A keen eye: Cryptic has a keen eye for details that lends to his skill as a detective. From the layout of a room to a targets body language even some of the most minor details are not missed.
