Overview
Backlash first appeared in, 'Home Is Where the Hate Is,' where he 'bumped' into Cyan and her ragtag band on CA3 who in turn 'bumped' into Icerunner and then Jungle. In, 'War and Peace,' Backlash died in a spectacular explosion, which opened a Time Shard.
Cyan recognized the Predacons visible through the Time Shard as 'Unicron's Mercs' who are a highly skilled team which included her mother (Lightspeed) and her step father (Prism) and some other acquaintances. But the team broke up before she was brought online.
Nonetheless, Cyan and Jungle when through the Time Shard in an effort to recruit Unicron's Mercs for their cause. Jungle for his part, more or less, didn't trust Cyan enough for her to go alone.
