Okay, basically how this works is you write up a character on the wiki, link it from this page, and then the character mod will make comments and suggest revisions in the "discussion" attached to the character. Once things are all cool, the character is approved, and is moved to that category and put up on the main rpg wiki page, and, oh yeah, that means you can play them in the RPG now. More step by step instructions for people new to this wiki thing will come a little later.

Character Creation Rules
RULES:
- Character Limit: Whatever you, and importantly, your fellow players can handle. No official limit, since we're trying to bring in characters from all the different boards here, but common sense still applies.
- Characters From Other Boards: Are not actually from the other boards. No wormholes, no time travel, no running circles around the fourth wall. You cannot play the Pyre from after CA2 but before CA3.
- Don’t use any canon characters, like Starscream or Optimus Primal. They cause problems. The Beast Wars did not happen, and your character was not in them.
Below is a character sheet, formatted for wiki, with explanations for what everything is. You can just cut and paste and edit in the actual info and it should show nicely formatted once you save the wiki page.
==Basic Info== *Created by: Your board user name, or wiki user name, however we can identify you *Name: Your character's name. This should also be the title of the wiki page. *Aliases: Optional. Any nicknames she’s earned. *Faction: Maximal, Predacon, Autobot or Decepticon *Subgroup: Optional. Any organization past or present she was associated with. *Type: Beast Warrior, Modeless, Mechanical, G1, Mini-G1 or Obsolete. Transmetals, Vehicons and Technorganics haven't been invented yet. Theres a couple new ones in there though, you might notice. Look below for descriptions *Beast/Alternate Mode: The animal, vehicle, or whatever she turns into. *Size: Small 4-7ft, Medium 7-10ft, Large 10-12ft, G1 12-25 ft. *Gender: Male or Female, probably. *Primary Function: The purpose she was brought online to fulfill, e.g. Melee Combat, Heavy Assault, Medic, Scientist, Engineer, Sniper, etc. *Secondary Function: Optional. Another thing she does exceptionally well. It should generally relate to or complement the Primary Function somehow, unless it’s a talent, like Singer or Painter. *Rank: Optional. The rank she held, if any, while serving with her Subgroup. *Theme Song: Optional. The music would play in the background of this character. *Quote: Optional. A thing she’s known for saying, or that defines her personality. ==Statistics== The Basics. 1-10 maximum distributed over 9 stats. Up to 63 points total for player characters *Strength: Muscle *Stamina: Armour *Speed: Top Speed, Reflexes *Skill: Agility, Hand-Eye Coordination *Firepower: Number of Weapons, Total Combined Power *Aim: Aim, Sensory Perception *Intelligence: Brainpower *Discipline: Self-control, Training *Luck: Luck You’re given a lot of free rein on interpreting exactly what scores mean- don’t abuse it. Ask around if you’re really unsure. ===Skills=== *Skill 1 *Skill 2 Consult Agent Rasp’s [[Skills List]]. Choose a few- around seven is usually appropriate- that your character is especially good at. No jacks of all trades, please. Try to give your character a focus based on her Functions. Characters who have really disparate skills may be asked to drop one or the other. Special note to snipers here: Snipers and people who want Sniper Rifles require Aim 10 and Firepower 10. They take only five skills, two of which must be Stealth and Sniping. You are allowed, at most, a small pistol and/or a melee weapon in addition to the Sniper Rifle. No more. ==PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION== ===Beast Mode=== Or "Alternate Mode:" What she looks like in animal form. Try to be as descriptive as possible. More is better. Four sentences at least will suffice. ===Transformation=== Very optional. Difficult to write. Most don’t. But it’s the process by which the character converts from beast to ‘bot, all the mechanical motion that happens between. ===Robot Mode=== Again, be as descriptive as possible. Describe build, shape, size, facial features, coloration, weapon holsters, other accessories, as much as you can. This should be a good-sized paragraph or two, or three and definitely more than four sentences. Sometimes quirks like peculiar gestures are included. A description of the character’s voice sometimes helps, though that can also fit under personality. ==PERSONALITY== This should be the longest part of your character’s bio. Her quirks and nuances, likes and dislikes, pet peeves and hobbies, whatever, it goes in here. Three paragraphs seems to have become the new minimum. If you think this is a lot of writing to do, 1 writing is the entire point of this place, and 2 track down character sheets by Dark Pyre and Catfish, maybe that will inspire you. ==WEAPONS & SPECIAL ABILITIES== *'''(insert weapon name)''' - (insert weapon description) *'''(insert weapon name)''' - (insert weapon description) And repeat as necessary. Weapons should be described both physically in terms of size and shape, some decorations maybe, as well as by their range, the area of effect, penetration, the kind of damage they do: like fire, plasma, laser, shrapnel, plain cutting, etc. Don’t include natural beast mode weapons like teeth or claws unless they have special properties. Weapons that can disable another character in one shot i.e. “One-Shot Kills” are not allowed, with the exception of sniper rifles. ==Equipment== Optional. Pretty much the same thing, for anything she carries around that isn’t a weapon. Be it a jet pack or a Bic lighter, say what it is, what it looks like, and what it’s for. ==Traits== Optional. Anything about your character that makes her unusual. Usually not combat-related. If you can stick to walls or pick up AM radio with your teeth, it goes here. ==HISTORY== Basically your character's life story up until this point. The more detailed, the better, but for this board it needs not necessarily be a thirty page epic. Most Transformers are Maximals and Predacons brought online since the end of the Great War, a mere fifty years ago. You are hereby encouraged to bring in a version of your character from Pred Base with a long, tumultuous history that comes into the story before most of that stuff happened-- indeed, those things may never happen because we're in a "fresh universe" as it were. Some ground rules: -Try for two good-sized paragraphs. One with seven sentences at least. -Don’t use any canon characters, like Starscream or Optimus Primal. They cause problems. The Beast Wars did not happen, and your character was not in them. ==Commanders’ Notes== Her references. ==Known Acquaintances== People she knew. ==Noted Quotes== Any mottos, creeds, catch phrases, one-liners, war cries, pick-up lines... These three are all optional and self-explanatory. Formats vary, so find one you like or make your own.
