My sincere and humble apologies for it taking so long to get a board back up. As you've probably noticed, all the old threads are gone, and you'll have to re-register too. This sucks, I know.

So basically the server died unexpectedly, and had to be replaced. No database backups were being made (primarily my fault), and the part of the server that failed was the hard drive itself, making it difficult to impossible to recover anything off of it (there have been various people working on it, far more skilled in these things than I. I'm waiting to hear if they had any success, are still trying, or have given up). So finally there's a new server and a fresh install of the board. More apologies for it taking so long to do those few simple things. I can just say that this happened with really bad timing against various personal obligations (for me, my fiance graduating and us moving to Brooklyn).

So, yeah. Hopefully everyone finds their way back. Now, back to your regularly scheduled fighting robots.

I had a feeling, Ribo, that we'd end up doing this when the board went down. It's a bummer but it is what it is.

I know. Besides the various technical issues and outside distractions that delayed getting a board back up, I wanted to hold off on anything that wasn't explicitly temporary as long as there was a reasonable hope that the database could be restored. Unfortunately, that hope has receded to a faint glimmer.
